Elizabeth Mutisya
Urban and Regional Planner

Elizabeth Mutisya is an Urban and Regional Planner by profession with over ten (10) years of hands-on experience across the public and private sectors having contributed to transformative planning projects at National, County and Local levels of planning. She is a registered Physical Planner with the Physical Planners Registration Board (PPRB) and a corporate member of the Kenya Institute of Planners (KIP). currently, she is serving as the Director of Lands and Physical Planning in an acting capacity, County Government of Kajiado and the Urban Planner in charge of Kitengela Municipality.

She currently leads the Municipal Spatial Data Infrastructure (MSDI) initiative by the CPL team, an entity within the World Bank being implemented in Nakuru City, Kathwana and Kitengela Municipalities, a pioneering project aimed at integrating data systems across all development sectors to support evidence-based decisionmaking translating to evidence based urban development.

She is glad to share her passion about harnessing the power of data (statistics) in creating urban governance systems that are inclusive, resilient and sustainable. Her work continues to inspire innovative approaches to urban development proving that with the right tools, an example being the MSDI RoadMap and partnerships, the future is truly urban.
